Healthy Pet Food

Mist on the stump
Our healthy girl, Mist, sits on her favorite perch and watches the wildlife in the backyard. She and her sisters, Blue and Sweetie, have not been fed commercial cat food since the day they came to live with us almost two years ago. Sadly, many dear pets were recently lost or severely sickened by mass-produced food that was tainted with poison. The good that came of this tragic event was that it sent more pet owners in search of healthier food from safer sources for their animal friends. If you are looking for high quality, organic pet food to ensure your pet’s safety and health, the folks at Greenpeople have made it a bit easier. They have an extensive listing of sources for natural and organic pet food on their website. It’s a useful tool to help you find just the right food for your furry family member.

Never Lose Your Dog Again

Thousands of dogs get lost each year. Some make it home safely and others don’t. GlobalPetFinder is a cool tool that can help locate a dog at any time though the use of a GPS device that attaches to the dog’s collar. GlobalPetFinder allows you to establish boundaries that you want your dog to stay within. When the dog passes through those boundaries, the GPS unit on the collar alerts you via cell phone, pda or computer and will send location updates every three minutes during the time your dog is outside the preset boundaries so you can find your friend quickly. The device even monitors environmental temperatures and alerts you when extreme temps put your pet in danger. GlobalPetFinder is currently only available for dogs but a smaller device for cats is scheduled to be on the market the end of 2007.
