Our healthy girl, Mist, sits on her favorite perch and watches the wildlife in the backyard. She and her sisters, Blue and Sweetie, have not been fed commercial cat food since the day they came to live with us almost two years ago. Sadly, many dear pets were recently lost or severely sickened by mass-produced food that was tainted with poison. The good that came of this tragic event was that it sent more pet owners in search of healthier food from safer sources for their animal friends. If you are looking for high quality, organic pet food to ensure your pet’s safety and health, the folks at Greenpeople have made it a bit easier. They have an extensive listing of sources for natural and organic pet food on their website. It’s a useful tool to help you find just the right food for your furry family member.

“Hercules”, an English Mastiff with a 36″ neck, is the current record holder at 284 lbs. His guardian John Flynn (who ain’t so shabby himself at 270 lbs) once saw a bird roosting on Hercules’ head. Hercules just sat there blinking, says Mr. Flynn. “He’s not the smartest dog in the world, that’s for sure.”

To Bob and Betty Matas, the $3000 taxi fare was well worth the price to insure the safety of their two cats. They befriended a taxi driver a few weeks prior to their move and the idea began as a joke. Read the entire story

Certain people bring out the funny in life’s daily adventures and that’s what makes me laugh the most. Take my feline for example, she never ceases to make me laugh hysterically… she begins to completely lose her kitty mind - every night around 8:30… she starts racing around the house, galloping really, she sounds like a herd of horses, slamming head first into objects and chasing after invisible creatures… I honestly don’t know what gets into her, but she becomes this crazy, playful, kitten-like blur that screams around the floor, leaping onto tables, toppling over vases and picture frames… it’s so comical, I find myself laughing to the point of tears and she never disappoints me… She is wacky and I love watching her flip totally out.. to be so energized and free to be spastic… that’s what it’s all about… it doesn’t last long, just enough to please her (and me) and wear herself out… then she will sleep in her spot, for hours on end…
